jimmy’s x Synch
Being a proud of your roots and where you come from should be at the heart of every aspirational brand. This is certainly the case with Synch and our deep-rooted heritage in British south coast county of Dorset. Being the only e-Bike brand from Dorset we have always welcomed working with other local brands.
Dorset has so may amazing brands that are all built out of the outdoor lifestyle the area inspires, so it really made sense to launch a custom Synch brand program and work with some of these brands. One of the biggest brands in the mix is of course Jimmy’s Iced Coffee.
Jimmy’s is a brand that we have been mates with since the early days. The guys here sing from the same hymn book as Synch and are all about living life with a smile on your face. After working with Jimmy’s on a few different projects and social posts, the conversation progressed organically about what on paper, made total sense? How this idea translated from the paper into the Synch workshop was really going to test the confidence we have in our resources.
One of our founders, Matt, has a really strong background in design and is really creative. Initially growing up on building sites Matt has always been making stuff. When Matt started to make movie props he really realised his talent for creating original bespoke pieces of art and sculpture. This creative streak has really translated into how Synch has been designed and the aesthetic style of our bikes evolved over the subsequent years.
So, when the conversation about building a collab bike with between Jimmy’s came to light, it was going to take all of our resources to bring it to life.
How did the conversation start? Initially it was just an ad hock comment made in jest on one of Jimmy’s Instagram posts. “We should build a Jimmy’s Synch” turned from a comment into a light bulb moment which made total sense. Jimmy’s loves to be inventive, love to create crazy vehicles and loved the idea of a Jimmy’s Iced Coffee branded bike. So straight to the drawing board it was.
Being based in the UK we are really able to maximise the level of customisation that we can offer. From any colour frame, custom branding and finishing, custom component designs and even making bespoke accessories. All of our bikes and designed and built in the UK and we do all of our 3D printing in house. This enables us to able to make epic accessories and add ons that can be bespoke to your business and give you bike a feel and style unique to your brand. However, the best thing is that we don’t like to stay in the Synch comfort zone, we instead like to push the limits of our design create something that exceeds our own expectations. This was certainly the case with the Jimmy’s X Synch Super Monkey.
With the release of the Super Monkey Pro, it made sense to focus the Jimmy’s bike around this model. We gave Matt free reign and he got his creative juices flowing (obviously fuelled by Jimmy’s Iced Coffee).
After ensuring the all the RAL colours and the branding, we got to work. I think you will agree what we have created is pretty special. From the old school branded swing board to the custom printed Jimmy’s Iced Coffee holders, the bike looks insane. More importantly it performed amazing, retaining the functionality required for events and promo whilst offering the stylish branding that you would associate with Jimmy’s Iced Coffee.
When you see the Jimmy’s team out and about on their custom Synch, be sure to give them a shout and a wave.
